The Building...
The original Ridgefield railroad station, which currently sits on the property of Ridgefield Supply, has been donated to our organization. We have a lease from the Town of Ridgefield for a parcel of land on Governor Street, next door to the Boys and Girls Club, where our home will be. The building will be renovated to include an elevated stage, state of the art sound and lighting systems, stage curtains and removable seating to accommodate different types of performances and exhibitions. It will also have a snack bar area, a lounge area, a small office, and restrooms.
After completion, an adult program director will be hired to schedule rehearsals, exhibitions and performances, as well as coordinate adult supervision for all events. All of this will come out of money raised from fundraisers led both by both the adult and student committees.
